Exclusion of Press and Public

To move the exclusion of the Press/Public for the following item in view of the likely disclosure of exempt information within the meaning of Part 7 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 as amended by the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985 and by the Local Government (Access to information) (Variation) Order 2006 exempt information.

Minutes:

It was proposed by Councillor Dunn, seconded by Councillor S. Doran and resolved that under Section 100a(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public and press be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it may involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in the paragraph of part 7 of schedule 12a of the Act indicated below.

To consider an application for a transfer of designated premises supervisor to Mr Karandip Singh Arora, Costcutter, 23 The Parade, Staines Road West, Sunbury on Thames, TW16 7AB, in the light of representations

A procedure note which explains what happens at a Licensing Sub-Committee, follows.

Minutes:

The Chair introduced the members and officers present and welcomed everyone to the meeting.

 

The Chair asked all parties present to introduce themselves and then explained the procedure to be followed at the hearing.

 

The Council’s Senior Environmental Health Manager summarised the application which was set out in full in the report of the Deputy Chief Executive.

 

The hearing continued in accordance with the procedure.          

 

It was agreed that both applications would be considered together.

 

Having heard the evidence presented, the Sub-Committee retired to consider and determine the application, having regard to the licensing objectives on prevention of crime and disorder.

 

Upon reconvening, the Chair gave the Sub-Committee decision.

 

The full decision with reasons would be notified to the applicant and other parties within five working days of the hearing.

 

Resolved that the transfer of designated premises supervisor to Mr Karandip Singh Arora, Costcutter, 23 The Parade, Staines Road West, Sunbury on Thames, TW16 7AB is rejected in accordance with the decision notice provided to the applicant and other parties.
