To appoint a Chair for the meeting.

Councillor Mrs Dunn was appointed as chair for the meeting.

To confirm the minutes of the meetings held on 12 May 2022 and 13 July 2022 as a correct record.

To receive any disclosures of interest from members of the Committee in accordance with the Council’s Code of Conduct for members.

There were none.

To move the exclusion of the Press/Public for the following item, in view of the likely disclosure of exempt information within the meaning of Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972, as amended by the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985 and by the Local Government (Access to information) (Variation) Order 2006.

It was proposed by Councillor Boughtflower, seconded by Councillor Leighton and resolved that the public and press be excluded from the meeting for the reasons set out in the report.

To consider the exempt item of business.

It was resolved that an extension to the existing market supplement be agreed until 31 January 2023, to enable the comparator data to be compiled to inform a review of the Chief Executive Officer’s ongoing market supplement.

It was requested that a future Appointments Committee review provisions in the constitution for undertaking the Chief Executive’s performance management processes, with a view to making a recommendation to the Council on any required amendments to the constitution.
