1/23	Appointment of the Chair To appoint a Chair for the meeting. Minutes: It was proposed, seconded and resolved to appoint Councillor Sandra Dunn as Chair of the Appointments Committee, for the duration of its consideration of the appointment of the Independent Member of the Audit Committee.

3/23	Disclosures of Interest View the background to item 3/23 To receive any disclosures of interest from members of the Committee in accordance with the Council’s Code of Conduct for members. Minutes: There were none.
4/23	Exempt Business View the background to item 4/23 To move the exclusion of the Press/Public for the following item, in view of the likely disclosure of exempt information within the meaning of Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972, as amended by the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985 and by the Local Government (Access to information) (Variation) Order 2006. Minutes: Resolved to move the extension of the Press and Public for the following items in view of the likely disclosure of exempt information within the meaning of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972, as amended by the local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985 and by the Local Government (Access to Information) (Variation) Order 2006: Paragraph 1 – information relating to any individual and on the basis that disclosure would not be in the public interest because if would contain personal data submitted with an expectation of confidence and disclosure is not in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018.
5/23	Exempt Item - Recruitment of Independent Member of the Audit Committee View the reasons why item 5/23 is restricted View the background to item 5/23 To finalise the recommendation to Council for the appointment of the Independent Member of the Audit Committee. Minutes: Following a rigorous recruitment process, the Appointments Committee unanimously approved the recommendation of the Audit Committee Interview Panel of the preferred candidate for the role of Independent Member of the Audit Committee. The Committee resolved and agreed to recommend the appointment of the preferred candidate to Council.
